The staff was nothing but rude to me at this complex, except Jean G. When I toured the complex, they showed me a very nice unit, but when I moved in, I was in a totally different unit. The floor was scratched, the walls were 3 different colors, my carpet was gross. There was always garbage in the parking garage. They told me I didn’t turn in a move-in checklist, when I had picture proof of turning it in. When I moved out, they told me I had 30 days to receive my deposit. I do not recommend this apartment complex. They wouldn't let me look at the apartment before putting a deposit down. The apartment was dirty when I finally did get the walk through. After moving in, the dishwasher quit working and I put a maintenance order in twice and it was never fixed. The neighbors were extremely loud on weeknights; screaming at children, playing loud music, etc. the place constantly smelled like cigarette smoke, and weed even though it was a smoke free facility. Me and my wife have lived in Lakewood Estates for 3.5 months. Overall our experience has been excellent. The grounds are kept clean and regularly maintained. Office staff have been attentive whenever we needed assistance. The building hallways are clean and the complex is in solid order. The apartment walls are thick and our neighbors are quiet. The other tenants seem polite and courteous and there is ample spaces for parking. We've already referred a co-worker to this complex and I encourage anyone to give Lakewood a chance... read more
