The best years of my life were spent at Lakeview during the summer at camp. I also loved when we had our family retreats there.
I started going to Lakeview in 1980 after my 7th grade year. started with summer camp and then Mid Winter and choir camp as I got older. Made some amazing memories at Vespers point, the Chapel, the dances. You name it I probably have a memory of it. I met an amazing minister from Pollard Methodist Church who later ran Lakeview, Rev Von Dawson. I can not think of a place that I felt more connected to God. I was blessed to attend almost 40 years ago and I am glad to see it is still an amazing place for youth to worship today. ... read more
