Great neighborhood vet We love this vet. The doctor is great and the staff is very professional. They have taken care of three dogs for us, including several operations. No waiting for appointments, either.
Flores a Fraud TERRIBLE- HORRIBLE Vet. I adopted a dog that he had teated for years that took to a vet closer to me. The dog was misdiagnosed and died do to the Animal Clinic of East County, when I asked Dr. Flores to look over the records to see if the other vet had done something wrong at first said that the other vet did everything correctly, then he admitted he had not even looked at the records then when my husband faced him one on one he said he didn't want to get involved and we should just "get over it". The Best I have been to many vets. Dr. Flores out ranks them all. His kind, gentle,caring & knowledge of felines is amazing. I have several cats that he had seen but on female 13 year old Siamese that I had shown was my heart. She had tumors which he cut out and stiched her back up 3x. The first time she got 15 stitches. He promised that he would tell me when it was time which he did. But thanks to his skill, knowledge & love of animals cancer tumors and all he gave me two extra wonderful years with my Sophie. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED In all my many years (you don't want to know) of dealing with veterinarians both professionally and personally, there are two veterinarians that stand out, Dr. Dennis Grummitt, Redding CA and Dr. Salvadore Flores, Lakeside CA. Both have gone above and beyond the call of duty (which no one sees), have provided options so clients can be informed about treatment of their companion animals, and above all, have demonstrated what the field of veterinary medicine is about, caring and compassion. I love this place! I love this place. a) very sweet people b) inexpensive! c) PRACTICAL -- they are not going to push you to give your cat a kidney transplant or anything d) Saturday hours! Recently, we thought we'd have to put our dog down, and Dr. Flores very kindly gave us some pain-relief options and said "I think she's not ready to go to doggie heaven quite yet" -- the way he treated US during that difficult visit was fantastic. Great vet! I took my dog there after he had injured his leg. Dr. Flores gave him pain medication and suggested we let him rest and see if it would start to heal, which it did. Other animal hospitals want to do costly x-rays, and needless blood tests first and charge you hundreds of dollars. Dr. Flores charged me a total of $60 and my dog was fine. We brought him back a year later for an injury to his ear and didn't have the money at the time to cover the surgery. Dr. Flores was more concerned that we get the ear fixed first ... read more
Lakeside Vet. I took my cat there because she had an infection before i thought maybe she had one again because she was urinating all over the house. so i figured i would give a different vet a try. i took her to the lakeside vet they took a urin sample and sent it off to the lab. well they gave her some pills to take with us. i paid $60 for them. lab results came back neg. and they will not give me my money back for the pills! i will never take my pets there again.
Always caring and professional Dr. Flores is my primary care veterinarian for my three dogs. I am continually impressed by his knowledge, experience, concern and professionalism. We are very fortunate to have a vet of his caliber in Lakeside.
