I felt the clinic over-promised results and rushed the procedure. Looking back the consultation felt like a sales pitch. My full medical history, including a recent related surgery was incorrectly noted on file, and deep venous assessment wasn’t done before EVLT. Post-procedure, my swelling and pain worsened instead of improving. I would caution anyone to get a thorough second opinion from a vascular surgeon. After the procedure I was referred to a local vascular surgeon who noted this procedure was not necessary.

For laser vein and sclerotherapy specifically: I had serious varicose veins and the treatment did work for the veins. Two issues that are upsetting: 1) I was not informed prior to starting this $7000 process that I would be expected to go in yearly for the rest of my life afterward. I find that hugely dishonest and not a surprise to be saved for my last treatment. 2) I have discolouration on both calves that looks like deep bruising. I thought I was referred to a vein specialist, apparently she is only a specialist if your veins are ugly, not if they cause you health problems. Do not recommended for actual health related issues.

Update: I have been going to Dr. Bentley since 2019. I have always been treated well by staff members. I continue to receive excellent care. While they do offer cosmetic services, it is clear that they are not about gimmicks. They provide honest assessments with no pressure. I recently inquired about their skincare products. I was pleasantly surprised with the price. I had previously assumed the products would be very expensive, many hundreds of dollars.
