History Established in 1968. Opened in 1968 Lakeshore Mall has had a strong presence in the community for over forty years. In 2012 the mall announced plans to redevelop and update the existing structure. Dick's Sporting Goods will open in 2013.

Came to see the Easter Bunny from Helen Ga. That is a 30 minute drive one way yesterday. So my gas was wasted. My sister works 3rd shift and made a special trip to get her sons photo done too so she lost sleep that was pointless Your site says until 8pm. Got there at 6 and there was no easter bunny. Seeing as it's Saturday and NOT Sunday you guys should have been operating still. Especially, with it being the first day for it. Awful mall. Gainesville is growing and the mall clearly hasn't kept up. There are barely any stores, not even a food court. They need to build onto it.
