Oakwood village is the worst. It was like living in an HOA, you can't have this in your yard, fix your blinds, mow your yard when we say, or we'll do it and charge you. My girlfriend and I were BUYING our trailer, and because we didn't follow their fascist rules, they evicted us, FROM A PLACE WE WERE BUYING! This trailer park has over priced garbage units. The managers are terrible. As in nobody is ever there to answer the phone or in the office to receive visitors. There is no guidebook for the tenants, and the infractions occurred are 2 and then they begin supposedly eviction. They endlessly threaten the residents with fines or with court. The maintenance crew is a joke especially in winter. I have live her for 14 plus yrs. And never once have had a issue with paying rent with money Orders. Well I came in August and paid my rent and talked to staff about possibley putting my home up for sale. The fallowing month I called to get a total for rent and she stated that they don't take partial payments. I then told her I paid in full. This guest has made many reservations, and then cancels them. Each time the credit was rolled forward, however due to the age of the initial credit being more than one year, it has been forfeited per our policy.
Stay away from Sun Communities...You make think that you have a broker deal but they can have someone else come in and make a better deal. They have you go through all the financing and jump through hoops and can pull the rug out from under you at the last minute. I had a deal but a guess that it is not good until we have a closing date. *** lived in my HOME in my hometown of San ***** for 26 years. *** bought the park a few years ago. Because if our location our space rent is quite high. Sun ruined a beautiful place to live. They care not what we want or think. NEVER move into one of their places.
We lived at a ************* for 20 years. We sold our home two weeks ago and are still waiting for the proceeds from the sale. It was an all cash sale and see no reason why *** is holding "Our" money. We can't close on our new home until the funds are received. Just not acceptable. Have emailed twice with no response.

As per the agreement that you signed and initialed, the proceeds for your sale can take up to 10 business days to be issued. Since your home sold on Friday, 9/1/23 the first business day was Tuesday, 9/5/23 due to the Labor Day holiday. Ten (10) business days would expire on Monday, 9/18/23. Should you have any further questions, we encourage you to please reach out to our community office during normal business hours.
This business is extremely unprofessional. They cant even give out phone numbers for corporate offices to help with the process. Im be been waiting for a lease for over two weeks since buying my home. Plus they sold a home that I put ******* money down for without even notifying me.
