They have gone from bad to worse! I purchased my car there and they gave me 6 prepaid oil changes with the purchase. Yesterday I went for my 5th oil change. It took almost 3 hours. The attendant completely forgot to send the service recommendations and responded to me only after I asked why is it taking so long. The car was waiting for me who knows where. I now have to go get some of those service recommendations somewhere else. Do yourselves a favor, avoid them like the plague if you can.
CLASSIC BAIT & SWITCH: on Friday, June 26, I scheduled an oil change and a brake flush directly through their website. The cost for the brake flush was $140. Imagine my surprise when I got there the following day and somehow the brake flush was now $190. When I spoke to the manager, she tried saying that the brake flush “starts” at $140. Yeah sure. I gave Lakeland Hyundai’s service department multiple opportunities to correct this before posting publicly. They failed to do so. For context, this is not my first serious issue with this dealership. Before leaving your vehicle at this location, I strongly recommend taking clear photos and video of: • The full exterior (all sides, bumpers, wheels) • Interior and dashboard showing mileage and any warning lights • Under the hood • A walk-around video of the entire vehicle • That major systems (such as A/C and electronics) are functioning Do this even for routine services like an oil change. I purchased my 2023 Hyundai Elantra here in 2023. I had a great experience and I get free oil changes with my warranty. However, the time it takes for them to only change my oil, takes 2 hours. I can go to Take 5 Oil Change and it will be done in less than 15 minutes. I don’t even need to make an appointment. I will never come back and get services with Lakeland Hyundai. I was trying to get this errand done on my lunch break. I was hungry and needed to get back to work. Please do better Hyundai.
