My wife and I have lived here for over a year and are moving to another unit in the same complex. The combination of prices, staff, neighbors, and unit quality are unbeatable for the South Lyon area. It is the opposite of a corporate run complex that is more and more common in Southeast Michigan these days. Highly recommend!

I recently had the pleasure of living at Lake Street Apartments in South Lyon, Michigan, and it was truly an exceptional experience. From the moment I moved in, I felt like I was part of a warm and welcoming community. Decent place but the manager Tammy is not a nice person. My 77 year old mother was in the hospital tge last 2 nights and I got a call that her dog was howling this morning in which my brother had just dropped off an hour before I got the call anticipating that my mother was going to be home today which she was by 12:30. Tammy called my mom saying the place was torn up and that she was not going to renew her lease. I got there and the apartment was fine and dog was sleeping on the bed. Reading these reviews, I would NEVER move to this SLUM. The snarky replies by the complex really show how true the ex tenants are! If I were to guess, half the tenants wish to move because of these issues, but there is too little choice of anywhere else to go in SL. The complex should take this opportunity to turn things around, Pay their staff better and take care of the whole reason they are in business, the TENANTS!

They didn’t fix or replace a lot things they said they would fix or replace. When the hot water tank failed I had to wait until late night for maintenance to replace it because he was working his second job at a laundry mat. The on-site manager is never in the office, you must try and make an appointment to see her. It’s difficult to throw your garbage away because quite often the dumpsters are full of carpet and padding from contractors.
