Possibly one of the worst nursing homes ever. While I was there, for physical therapy learning how to walk again after my 28 day stay in intensive care at northwest community hospital, my cell phone was stolen more than likely by a staff member. outsourced rehabilitation team was good. I left and got at home medical attention because they were not helping me, do things such as change my catheter or help me empty my catheter bag, and they were starving me to death. I can only say the best about Lakeshore. I Ought to know, I am a resident. I have been here for more than three years and it is tops. I've been in a State Hospital and it was the pits. While things may not always be perfect, the staff does the best they can for all of us. They are all very courteous and concerned with our welfare. I am writing to express my gratitude for the services and care your facility provided for my brother William H. during the course of his stay at Lake Shore HealthCare. We were fortunate to have discovered your facility with the help of outplacement services at St. Joseph Hospital. My brother was recovering from a severe fall and major abdominal surgery, and needed physical, speech and occupational therapy. I want to take this occasion to say that I have improved in my physical well being as a result of the therapy programs at Lake Shore. I spent about 6 months in physical therapy and a year in restorative. The restorative staff truly does not get the appreciation they deserve and I want to suggest that they do. - Gena P.

I have been visiting Lake Shore HealthCare and Rehabilitation Center for several years, and I am very much impressed with the professionalism of the staff, especially the team work and effort to make sure that all patients are given proper treatment. I disagree: its the BEST!!!! – I have to say, that when I was researching this place for my dad and came across the previous posting, I was VERY opposed to even considering it. However, what got me to go check it out was the fact that everyone that I spoke to in the hospital where my mom was at had nothing but praise for Lake Shore!
