I have a lot of anxiety around dentists. So I was so nervous going into the appointment. Everyone I encountered was kind, compassionate, and reassuring. They explained everything they were doing and answered all my questions. The best thing was not feeling judged for any questions I asked or for not having the best teeth. From checking in to checking out I felt so comfortable with the people that work at Lake Merritt Dental.
It was my first visit today to Lake Merritt Dental office and I loved it! The best experience in the dental office ever with the hygienist Dana and Dr. Ohanian, and administrative staff. I will trust my oral health to them going forward. So happy I found this place.

we are new patients and had a great first experience! they helped me feel very comfortable since i had not been to a dentist in 5 years! they are extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and courteous. i will definitely make dentist visits a priority going forward. they made excellent recommendations, which we will be following. i trust their qualifications. another benefit for me is they are predominantly women of color owned and operated. i cannot wait to return for my next visit. highly recommend this dentist office!
I always enjoy my visits to Lake Merritt Dental (odd thing to say about a dentist, right?). Since they are professionals and all around good people, that makes the process of going for important health upkeep a good thing.
This is probably one of the last great dentists around Oakland or Bay Area a matter of fact. the Doctor and hygienists at this office are really good at what they do but also good caring people. The scheduling is easy and the office is super clean. Due to COVID-19 rooms are separated. They take there time. I had a broken tooth and was helped the next day. crown was made in a week or so and now I have a brand new crown. Had crown prep today w/Dr Tuck , and it was much better than my anxiety was anticipating. My anxiety is so bad it has to be addressed in the 1st person. I like Lake Merritt because they know what they’re doing, and they do it quickly, and professionally.
I’m a dentist phobe, but the staff here handle it in stride. I always receive really good service when I come here.
