RecommendedThe motel is very basic but it is comfortable and located nearby some very nice mountains and backroads. Depending on what your favorite recreational activities are, it is an excellent “base of operations”...we are bikers. We ride both street and forest roads depending upon whim so this is a great place to stay for us.
I would NEVER recommend anyone who may be traveling out of state to come and stay. I placed my reservation a month in advance. I came from Indiana and when I went to check in they refused to let my family and I stay because I didn’t have a $150 deposit ( reservation was paid for in advance) I never even received an email notifying me of such a request. To top things off they REFUSE to give me a refund !!!!!! I’m pissed!!
RecommendedWe stayed in the Sugarloaf cabin for a couple nights. My wife and I had an awesome time just relaxing on the deck and fishing off of the dock. Not to mention I caught 3 of the biggest Catfish I've ever caught. The cabin was very clean and the staff there was extremely friendly. We will definitely be back.
Great place and people.Clean cabins clean lake.Only wish they had a pet-friendly cabin on the water but other than that great!
