What a place. It was packed and yet we were waited on quickly, food was fast and great. We will be back. I had the famous fish log and wamt the fried chincken next. Now excuse me while I take a nap
Friendly staff, warm, vintage interior, superb fried chicken livers (the breading was light and crispy), and a thick, perfectly cooked cod log (though even the half portion was the size of a brick!). Word is you can get it grilled if you’re not into fried.
Came here last weekend for the first time. Laid back atmosphere. Staff was very friendly. Met and talked to Bev, the previous owner. So friendly. They owned it from the late 70s - her son now owns it. She's "retired". Ordered the fish log. It was perfect. The hot slaw was amazing - could have made myself sick on it. And any place that gives me rye bread and butter is ok in my book. Huge portions , full bar, great food.
