The sailing camps for youth and teens are great and affordable. Youth who complete the sailing camp can then take the boats out on the lake to sail anytime until they turn 18, for free!! It's such a great resource provided by the city. We went out sailing on Lake Merritt with my son and it was so much fun and he was happy to show us his sailing knowledge. Recommended for kids age 10 and up!
