After being a patient for years we went for a visit and our insurance kicked the bill back. our insurance was missing a form. we fixed and my insurance told me to have doctor office send the bill again and they would pay. I contacted the office this morning to schedule a sick visit for my child and was advised that he was "inactive ". I was perplexed as he has been a patient at this office for 6 years. The representative then advised me that my child could not be seen because there was an outstanding bill. I inquired about the detail of the bill and advised I would gladly pay but then she advised me that they would not be able to see him and refused to provide detail about the alleged amount owing. After using them for 14 years I had a micropreemie, who came home on oxygen and the hospital put him on supplemental Medicaid (because he lived at the hospital for three months). The doctor we have ALWAYS seen and loved would not accept him as a patient, even though we were not using his Medicaid to file anything, we were using private insurance.
