5U is $95 and we don't even get a referee. We're also responsible for setting up our own goals. Grass is 6" tall yet the "field admin" is there getting all upset if we walk across an empty one to our cars. Acting like it's a green at The Masters.
I have had kids in this league for 8 years, it is a recreational and non profit organization run by volunteers (including the president) . Most parents complaining on this site apparently have forgotten that. If you don’t like something, join the board and contribute your time to make improvements. If you don’t like switching teams because you have not formed one, start a team for your child and coach it. All of these suggestions take more effort than posting rants on this page.
I agree with the issues everyone else addresses. The so-called president and commissioner of this league are rude and disrespectful. They do not know how to have a kind conversation. I will be demanding my money back after they called me and yelled at me over something I didn’t know I did wrong. My son is 5 and they flipped out over something so minor. I am floored with how terribly run this league is.
