Very unprofessional. I was working with Lake ford on buying a 2021 Ford F150 Raptor. I test drove it and needed some time to think about it. I finally told the dealer I was ready to buy. They sent me a purchase contract. When I received the contract I told them I sent it to my Bank and would bring them a check. They started demanding $1000 or they can’t honor the contact. Dishonest and disrespectful. I brought my Fusion in for an AC repair in August and stated that it was blowing hot air. Lake Ford performed a "software update", which resolved the issue until September, when the AC broke again. When I called today to ask whether this was covered under warranty, Luis stated that I had specifically requested the software update. Fantastic to work with. Very easy going and no pressure to buy. LIstened to every thing I wanted and had very honest answers.
I took my car for sensor issue and they told it will cost $800. After I agree they later call me and told me it was actually Transmission issue which they told me it will cost about $6000. I didnt have the money and declined but they charged me for the sensor which will is not going fix anything. I have paid to check the vehicle $ 120, I did not get why I would pay $800 if that is not the issue or will not fix the issue.
We were lied to and manipulated regarding purchasing a new car. This was my first ever new car purchase, and after initiating the process we were so excited that we had picked Lake Ford. Everyone seemed helpful and knowledgeable, and we were told that our car was going to be ordered the next day and we could expect to wait about a month or so. I am very disappointed and outraged at the lack of honesty that was provided in regards to my warranty. I purchased a vehicle a little less than two years ago and it just started giving me issues. One main issue was that the "check engine" light came on. I recently took it to the shop two days ago because I was assured by the dealership that my car has a "Two years/ 24,000 miles bumper to bumper warranty."
