Terrible Service Our party of 4 adults went on 8/7/10. We arrived at 7:30 p.m. Though it was a Saturday night, of the approximately 15 tables only 8 were occupied at any time. Service was terrible. It took fully an hour to receive our dinner. It took 20 minutes for our order to be taken, then another 15 before the server came out to say one item could not be made because they were out of the major ingredient, then another 25 before food arrived. Lake Effect rocks!!! I've been going here since shortly after they opened, and have always been very pleased with the food, service, and diner atmosphere. They're a very traditional "railway car" diner (now mounted on a permanent foundation, with a large attached kitchen), with a typical diner fare menu -- burgers/sandwiches, omelets, milkshakes, coffee, the usual "garbage plate" (which I haven't been hungry enough to try yet).
