My workplace hired Derek for a free community event for kids and families. Derek was incredibly kind and helpful. He was the first vendor at the event and the last to leave because he stayed to help pack up other vendors. Derek was communicative throughout the whole process and helped to collect the music from the different performers. I cannot recommend Derek enough!

Lake DJ did our wedding 9 years ago and people who came to our wedding still talk about how great our DJ was. He made our photo album because he was so good. Not only did he DJ our wedding but he stopped my uncle from cutting our cake before it was cake time. He also walked champagne across the venue during the father of the bride speech. He was the best.

If you are looking to hire a DJ, look no further! Derek is amazing. He really goes above and beyond in every aspect. Derek is super friendly and professional. The one thing that really stood out on our initial call was how knowledgeable he was. I got the sense that he definitely knew how to throw a good party by getting guests involved and dancing. Derek of Lake DJ was AMAZING! We cannot express how happy we are that we chose Derek as our DJ for our special day. Not only is he a great DJ, who kept our guests dancing the entire time, but his Master of Ceremonies services were more than we could have asked for!! There was no need for our day-of coordinator to stay much longer after the ceremony because from there, Derek had it all handled! We loved working with Derek (Lake DJ)! He DJ'd our wedding at Valhalla in August 2024 and was so helpful in making our vision come together! He played all the music we requested and had great additions as well. All of my guests really enjoyed getting to know him and he helped us stay on time, MC'ing throughout the night. Highly recommend!
