If I could give this sh*thole of an ER zero stars, I would. We were here visiting a friend in Kentucky from North Carolina for a weekend vacation. Unfortunately, my partner had a medical emergency and we decided to use a local ER so we could hopefully still have some fun on our trip. Needless to say, we were not impressed with this place. The intake nurse and staff were all nice enough, and it took us maybe half an hour to get a bed, which isn't bad. This is the worst hospital ever! My son was recently in there. A nurse laid his pills and shot down and forgot about giving it to him until I reminded him. No wash cloths or towels, I had to bring from home. IV came out an hour later they came in and fixed it. No cup of water nearby. He left his phone charger there among a few other items but I went back two days later and it wasn’t there.
On 5/20/24, I was informed to go the emergency room because I had open heart surgery. I had surgery in Cincinnati, and I live in rural KY. I went to LCRH because it was the closest. My blood pressure had dropped and after talking with Ohio hospital they thought I was dehydrated. They instructed me to go get fluids. After being checked in the person trying to get the IV in was like a butcher. They poked and prodded and finally ask for help. Still leaving the needle in they started fluids. Be aware that this hospital is giving prizes to nurses for soliciting 5 star reviews from patients in the hospital, showing patients how to do this, then having the nurse turn that 5 star review in to management for rewards. Unsafe and creepy way to coerce sick people who are at the mercy of hospital staff, IMO.
Rude doctors that think all you are is a drug addict when your just in pain. Only did a blood test and told me to go on I was fine. Basically refused me pain medicine and said I was faking
