I was there a few times. The LAST AND FINAL time was about 12 years ago. I was meant to be there. I actually met my husband there. Lol. These people care... they do care, if you care. Counselors can only do so much to help someone who is NOT ready for help. This was state funded. I don't understand all the bad reviews. It's better than Cook County Jail, Lake county Jail and McHenry County Jail. People lived in gutters slept on sidewalks, did anything necessary to fullfull our addictions and then go to a state funded place an... read more
This place saved my life! If it weren’t for the wonderful counselors and staff, I wouldn’t be where I am today!
Horrible experience here. Patients are treated like criminals, the Nurses in particular seem like they hate their jobs. The restrooms and showers SMELL HORRIBLE. I felt disgusted taking a shower. RUN FROM THIS PLACE.
Idk why the rating is so low. They actually care and want to help. They will do their utmost to help you get on your feet. Theresa, Ray, Darryl, David, and everyone else there is so compassionate and Nice. Idk what they get paid but it’s not enough; frfr.
This place is overall terrible but I made the most of it. I was going good and a counselor put his hands on me. His name is James and it's ironic because he's the anger management counselor lmao what a joke. I'm still clean even though I got kicked out into the streets while homeless. They didn't care
