We used to love to rent the RVS here , but for some reason, they got rid of them � no more lake Charles for us. Have to move on to bull shoals to get a rental.
Nice park. Good lake to fish . I was raised 8 miles from Lake Charles. Go there several times a week to fish. Also like cooking out. Beautiful park.
It's a beautiful park & excellent place to camp. It is NOT a good swimming lake so if that's what you're looking for, this is not the right place. However, for picnics, get togethers, just camping & R&R, it's a great place. Very quiet.
Our favorite camping spot so far. Beautiful, well-maintained sites on the waterfront, and just 2 hours from home. There's a great family cafe about 15 minutes away that serves good breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Fridays. They also have a couple of rental RVs for only $75/night that include everything but linens and towels, propane grill, satellite, TV, sleep 8-10 people.
Very nice. Walked around and took some great pics. Use to take my boys there many years ago. Has changed alot, but still very nice.
