We stayed the weekend here mid-June. It was beautiful. Nice location- not too far from sleeping Bear dunes. The lake was nice, especially since it was too cold and windy to swim in Lake Michigan. 3 adults and 3 children. Rooms were nice, beds were comfortable, kitchen had most everything we needed. Shower pressure was great. Hot tub was nice after hiking the dunes at sleeping bear. My only complaint: now I'm trying to hunt myself down some of those pillows for my home! Lol
DO NOT STAY HERE IN THE WINTER Preface: I am a mom who had her baby upon moving in and this place had me worried for my children's safety. Scheduled plowing was a joke. The hills at this place are massive and not plowed well enough or often enough causing us to have to park in overflow parking in fear of not being able to get out. Trash overflows every week. Maintenance fills it on trash pickup day immediately with large bulky items. Also, trash doesn't get picked up weekly probably because it can't even get up the ridiculou... read more
Basically, we left early and would absolutely not recommend staying during winter. We lost power (including heat) twice during our stay and it was very stressful. We could text customer service but it seemed no one was on site as they asked renters to check in on us. The cabin was quite cold especially if you closed the room doors since the heater is in the living room. Snow maintenance for individual cabins was very poor and it got fairly slippery, I had a bad fall on ice getting in the front door.
Rented a pontoon for the day and it was wonderful. Very reasonable rates and friendly people. Easy to book and make payment online with simple instructions as to where to find the boat, lockbox code, etc. I would highly recommend and will definitely book again. Pontoon was immaculate and in beautiful shape. Haven’t stayed in their cabins but it looks like a great place to have a family reunion with a nice beach and even a hot tub overlooking the lake. Thank you!
