We stayed at Laguna Beach House for New Year’s Day and had a wonderful experience. From the moment we walked in, the place smelled amazing and looked spotless. The décor was very clean, beachy, and welcoming — it instantly set the tone for a relaxing stay. We stayed as a family (my partner and our two kids), and the room was perfect for us. We were in Laguna unexpectedly (a friend was in the ER), so I went online and found this GEM of a place to stay. EVERYTHING and every one was on point. Cookies at the front desk, details about coffee service in the morning, pool/hot tub hours and the firepit. Housekeeper brought us extra towels and groundsman got me a foam insert for the lounge chair after he saw me sitting on a towel (January, not beach season). EASY walk to beach and Urth House,

Small and cute - cleverly remodeled affording a good ambience. Pool and spa area are great. Staff exceptionally friendly and professional. We would go back.

I had a decent stay here. The room was comfortable and everyone was nice, but as a service designer, there were two things that left a bitter taste in my mouth. There’s an amenities fee ($35/night) that is added to your bill at checkout that covers the hospitality additions of the hotel’s user experience (cookies at the front desk, wine at 6pm, pool + beach chair rental) and this is something they advertise excitedly upon your arrival, yet don’t attribute to this fee.
