I did not reach out to this attorney based on not only the many low rated reviews but also after doing a little research I found this attorney was reprimanded a few years ago for ethics violations. Be advised, the Oregon State Bar is referring this attorney when using their Attorney Referral Service online. I’m glad I double checked before reaching out to them.
I had a great experience with Lafky and Lafky law firm. I was looking for a lawyer to help me review an employment contract. In the first consultation I worked with Dori Brattain and she quickly helped me understand what I needed to know about my contract and if there were any concerns. Dori was easy to talk to and very personable. I would highly recommend their services.
BEWARE!!!! No communication. Despite multiple emails over 3 weeks, Ms. Brattain never replied. Not even the courtesy to say, sorry, I can't represent you. Despite over a month of attempts, NO REPLY! ZERO accountability. I submitted complaint to Oregon State Bar, and this is what they said! Horrible service. Sophia K Harris one of the lawyers here did not show up to the first court date in person claims she was “sick” cool so she shows up via phone. Second court date comes around and shows up at the wrong court house. Leaving a client by himself at the correct court house. Judge was upset and even got her in trouble for it. Finally Shows up to the third one. Fourth court date comes around and client is greeted by a completely new lawyer. No notification or heads up whatsoever on behalf of the office.
