Dr. Norman Ladov is a 5-star professional and one of the best doctors in NJ. Unfortunately, he is retired and no longer takes new patients.
Dr. Ladov asks me the same questions every visit. And I don't mean my name and how I'm doing - he asks me my symptoms, what meds I am on (the ones HE prescribed me), address, phone number, etc. He never seems to know who I am or what I am in need of. In addition, he explains the same things about the medications every time, and when I give the feedback he asks for, he makes recommendations that go directly against that feedback regardless. I am looking for a new psychiatrist, and Dr. Ladov is absolutely NOT recommended.
Dr. LaDov is an amazing psychiatrist, who I had the honor of meeting (virtually, of course) during the Covid Quarantine. He took his time, and listened to me, and IMHO saved me from a potentially catastrophic mind set. I highly recommend him to provide for your mental health needs.
Dr Ladov is a kind and thoughtful Psychiatrist. He helped me when no-one else could. I had poor Doctors in my past who instead of working my problems simply over prescribed me to the point of dependence. With Dr. Ladov's help, I was able to get my life back in order, eliminate medications and greatly reduce my overall anxiety. He understands that a healthy mind needs a healthy lifestyle and is very up-to-date with the latest excercise and yoga techniques. I would give more than 5 stars...
I was able to get an appointment with Dr. Ladov within a week or two, not the normal two month wait. He is very knowledgable about the medications associated with mental health. I have been to a few different psychiatrists who were more than happy to hand out prescriptions but this doctor really addresses your issues appropriately. He identified that I was on an antidepressant that was inappropriate for my issues. He changed my medication and I have been doing much better ever since. Try him.
