Took our 19 month old son for his first haircut with Kate S. She was perfect. Very patient while he warmed up to her and she tried a bunch of little tricks to get him to be comfortable. He sat through the whole haircut - which she did by hand with scissors not clippers- and barely fussed. The end result was so well done. We really appreciated how she took the time to understand his hair texture and created a perfect cut to keep some of his natural curls. Diana Baraz is a consummate practitioner of her craft. She brings a loving presence to her work, which she sees as a path to bringing healing, wholeness and peace to her clients and the wider world. Who would imagine that a 15 minute stress relief treatment could transform a day? Diana is also an experienced meditator who maintains and is constantly deepening her consistent practice. This infuses her work with her hands; it infuses her presence. I really cannot recommend her highly enough.
This is my manicure after getting it just a few hours ago. It looked the same when I left. I had a Pedicure at 10:45 and manicure after. I was walking out the door at 12:25. Pointing it out then wouldn’t have changed anything, just made me feel awkward. I could have painted my own nails and probably had them look better. Insane how someone can do such a poor job. Throwing money out the door. The pedi was no better! Both look worse in person than the picture!!
I have been meaning to review for quite some time, but Kate is the absolute best stylist to ever work with my hair. I have been seeing the same stylist for 29 (since my first haircut) and truly I don’t think I can ever go back. She listens to what I want and walks through all the steps and all my questions! Bonus that she is super friendly and genuinely fun to chat with while getting my hair done!
