Cartoon depiction of the police being compared to active shooters, is not only far from the truth it is hateful, disgusting, disrespectful, mean, disturbing and tasteless. Honestly, most of all sad. True colors shine through in troubled times. Laconia Sun, your true colors are shining. And they are far from red, white and BLUE. Free or not, I am finished ever reading the filth your paper prints. Time to boycott.
They posted a comic strip depicting an African American kid under a desk that says Active shooter drill on the chalkboard, then captions the African American kid saying "This feels like preparing for a cop to show up". When speaking to the editor Roger and after telling him my husband was African American, he asked me why it offended me! Then said well is your Husband offended? I am very disappointed in this paper! Not cool at all.
POS newspaper. Disgusting content !!! Media is not to be trusted anymore. Form your own thoughts and opinions by what you actually see in the real world. Media is manipulating us all....
I have seen a lot of distasteful things over the years but nothing as disgusting as the cartoon in today’s Sun depicting children under a desk during an active shooter drill stating that it is like they are preparing for the cops to show up. These two issues separately are nothing to joke about but putting them together in this manner is on so many levels wrong. I will no longer be reaching for the Laconia Daily Sun for my local news needs.

They have bias posts and are throwing political views that they want “us” to lean towards. They have also posted very concerning content that should be reviewed
