I had carpal tunnel surgery by Dr. Rao and it was a horrid experience. I have RA n surgery was delayed which was not her fault. I waited all day at St. Joseph. Anesthesiologist asked her if I could have a sedative n she refused. I was awake through whole experience n then she wrapped my arm. She checked on me afterwards n she was surprised when I asked her to take off the wrap. She unwrapped the dressing and immediate relief. I never went back to her. I sm 72 yrs old n felt I was treated with no concern over my wishes
I had carpal tunnel for many many years finally went to Dr. Lacey, Rao for relief, she did bilateral carpal tunnel release surgery on me 14 months ago and destroyed my hands! I followed up with her. She assured me it was a coincidence that I developed all these new symptoms immediately after surgery and looked at my hands and told me to come back and see her when one of my knees or elbows swell up really big so she can test fluid claiming perhaps I have gout. Dr Rao performed Carpal and Cubital Tunnel surgery on my right arm a few months ago. My sleep is no longer interrupted by right hand pain and numbness! I don't have the words to express how life changing this has been for me! Left arm is next.
