The nurses were SO kind to me. Furthermore, the hospital gives you a piece of paper (at least for surgery) and it asks you some personalized questions, like "what is your greatest fear for today" and "what can we do to make your time here a better experience", and they kept that paper with your charts for the rest of the time so they knew how best to treat you.
