I had a wonderful experience at L&D thanks to my wonderful nurses. I’m now 3 weeks post partum and I still think about how amazing Lauren and Maggie were on the daily. I had so many amazing nurses while there but these two stood out more so. They made me feel comfortable, heard, and strong when I was going through the thick of It with my first baby. Shoutout to Maggie and Kayla , 2 nurses I will never forget about . They was there for me my whole entire stay at GBMC . I was super down about being there for a month ; and Kayla took me outside to get air and we talked like we been knew eachother . Maggie I will love forever . Was my first nurse ; when I first got admitted and was the nurse there when I delivered him . I will forever cherish the nurses in the labor and delivery department for helping me get through one of the toughest pregnancies ever . Thank you
The nurses were kind, very attentive and knowledgeable . The doctor was exhausted who delivered, I understand but it was a bit off putting because she kept yawning. Baby was born healthy. Hospital is old, rooms are small and food is DISGUSTING!! Taste like cardboard and canned food. Nothing is fresh. My first birth was at Sibley hospital and everything was great. I would have liked to give birth there but I had to relocate and sibley too far so I chose the next best labor and delivery.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. The triage nurses were horrible. They ignored me when i called & I heard them laughing & talking in the hallway the entire time. They’ kept saying drink water the contraction would go away… THEY DIDNT I was dx with a PE which was causing all my chest pain on top of my contraction they had no information & the doctor offered me Oxy & muscle relaxers i refused because OXY was not going to help me. I am now we w different hospital receiving adequate medical attention .
