I should have learned my lesson two years ago when this same Labcorp location left my entire arm bruised after a simple blood draw. I came back hoping their phlebotomy skills had improved over time, but I was wrong. Once again, I’m left with a massive, painful hematoma (see photo). The tall tech with blonde hair there doesnt confirm PT information before drawing labs. That is # 1 ! I sat on the chair, and she went straight into drawing my blood without confirming identity. Its been a week. I've yet to receive my results. Now im wondering if my samples were mislabeled. Labcorp turn around time for results is 24 - 48hrs or 3 - 5 days for certain tests. Its been 10 days already and no one knows anything!
Some of the most incompetent front desk staff I've ever encountered and that's saying a lot having lived in NYC for most of my life. If that's any indication of the type of professionalism and care you'll receive from the folks actually drawing blood, then it's scary and potentially life threatening since you're very vulnerable taking a needle from them.
