I made an appointment. It took longer than a walk-in took before Labcorp inserted themselves. My ONLY correspondence from them was a threatening email asking for more money. I never had to pay anything out of pocket before Labcorp came along to take my money and slow-roll service. This is what happens when competition disappears and HH buys Crestwood. ☹️
My PCP associated with UAB Medicine in the building sent the lab order within 15 minutes. All I had to do was check in, and LabCorp already had my orders. I was able to check in within 5 minutes. However, whoever drew my blood was not skilled. I've never had problems getting blood drawn until now. When she inserted the needle, the blood was coming out slowly and then stopped. Good experience. Went on a Friday morning. Total time was about 1 hour. The blood draw was painless.
I appreciate the kind assistance by the front desk assistant and she also drew my blood samples. Tamika was extremely efficient, fast and professional. Thank you!
