lab is an urban cafe located in the newly rehabbed 505 liberty st building in ann arbor, just across the street from borders bookstore and next to the michigan theater. our coffeehouse brings a fresh, young, urban sensibility to its customers through award-winning intelligentsia espressos, coffees and teas. we will also offer frozen yogurt with a variety of fresh toppings prepared on site. our design-focused interior concept is led by local architecture group, ply arch.

I really like that redhead girl. She’s very funny.
Asked for a matcha latte with vanilla syrup. WAAAAY too sweet. Literally tastes like vanilla syrup alone…
Wasn't impressed with this Cafe. Way too small. No seats. Couldn't sit anywhere. The desserts were nothing to speak about, the coffee was okay. It would have been better if we could have sat down. Forget finding a a place to sit. Do yourself a favor. Find a little bigger Cafe. There are so many of them in Ann arbor, Michigan. You can do better!
I got a iced lychee rose matcha latte. There was matcha powder clumps in my drink so the powder wasn’t properly sifted and because of that there was a bitter after taste. I also didn’t like that their cold foam came out of a can. The drink tasted okay but for the price of $8 I expected a better quality experience.
I don’t normally write or post reviews in general, let alone negative ones - but I was so put off by the barista taking my order while texting just now that I felt inclined to give the service here 2 stars Update: had high hopes for the coffee and it was very bad 🥲
