La Zingara is a provincial Italian-style restaurant that does not serve "Italian American" food such as spaghetti and meatballs. Its objective is to offer real Italian food, including fresh pasta dishes, soups, salads, fish, steaks, chops and stews, served with select wines and beers. An old reliable.. Consistently good; especially like the filet. Staff is friendly, nice wine selection.. nice ambiance. Yes, pricey, but I believe avoiding wilding children is worth a bit more.
La Zingara is pricey for the area but good I went to La Zingara with my husband. The decor is very nice, upscale, nice wood floors and table cloths. We thought the food was overpriced for what you get. We compared the prices to what you would pay in Westport or Greenwich. But the food was good and we will probably go back.
Elegant and consistantly delicous!!!!!!!!!! – We have consistantly dined at this fantastic northern italian restaurant. The decor is modern, clean and comfortable. The cusine is always outstanding and fresh. The Sunday brunch is a rare treat - delicous and a bargin. I have brought all types of friends and family with varied palates and they all leave with the same rave reveiws and satisfied feelings
Food was bland. – Though the pasta seemed fresh and homemade, but the shrimp in the pasta dish tasted "off" - like it was thawed and sat there for a long time before it was cooked.
