Huge changes at the clinic. and NOT for the better
Went in for ear infection & they flooded my cats ear. Ended up at an emergency clinic in the ICU for too much fluid which damaged his optic nerve! NEVER will I take my precious babies here again!!
RecommendedI have never been to a Vet that was so friendly and loving to the animals, as well as their owners. They treat you like you are part of their family. Dr. Walthall didn't rush to get finished so she could move on to the next Fur Patient, she took the time and made sure you understood everything! The Staff is awesome and friendly as well! I do not see me going anywhere else with my animals! Thank you La Vega Vet Clinic for everything you have done and are doing for my Fur baby Miley! See you soon.

RecommendedI have been taken my dogs and cats here for over 15 years, wouldn’t take them any were else. She has saved one of my dogs from parvovirus, had a cat who had her whole side ripped open and she had to put several drain tube and stitches , it took over a month but she made it. I’ve also had a dog who didn’t make it and her staff was great really there for me. I trust her with my babies and recombined her to anyone who had pets.
My dog came straight to the vet from the animal emergency clinic after spending 12 hours on iv fluids and antibiotics. My dog saw the vet who took out his catheter and said he'd be fine and sent him home. I called the next day and informed them he still wasn't eating or drinking and they told me it was "normal". My dog wouldn't be back in the animal emergency hospital, making me have to choose to put him down or pay almost $2000 if the vet at La Vega had done her job and admitted him.
When I moved to Waco, the only thing I was more nervous about than finding a new hair stylist (laugh if you want to.. it's hard!), was finding a new vet! I'd been going to the same one for years. In fact, I was so hesitant I kept driving back to San Antonio for vet appointments even after I moved here. But this week I finally took the plunge and made my dogs an appointment at La Vega... and I am so glad I did!! Everyone was there was AMAZING! So friendly, and so knowledgeable. We will definitely be going back :)
Our dog Bella needed to have exploratory surgery and instead of waiting until the next day, doc let us stay there and she did an emergency surgery within 2 hrs....even after knowing she was booked for the afternoon! The entire staff was empathetic with us and very patient. Bella is now recovering!
