La Thai is the best thai restaurant in the city. I have been going to this family business since they were first on Carrollton Ave.
The food here has progressively worsen. My recent visit a few months ago was my last. I ordered the Thai Coon, which has been my favorite dish for the past three years, and it looked and taste like a Chinese stir fry--greasy, thick sauce with no differentiating Thai flavors-- over a bed of rice. Part of me hoped they didn't replace the old chef and that he just forgot to add Thai spices and got heavy handed with the cornstarch.
Chicken Red Curry, damn good. Will be going back soon, its definitely worth another trip.
