I had been wanting to do a boudoir type photo shoot for a while, but was very intimidated and self conscious. I was drawn towards the fine art approach of La Rousse. I liked the idea that even though it was nude, it felt subtle and beautiful, not overtly sexual. Katie made me feel comfortable immediately. Her studio is private and casual. At first, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to take maternity photos. Then I came across Katie’s work on Instagram, and her photos immediately stood out to me—they looked like they belonged in Vogue.
