We were traveling from South Padre Island to Minnesota, stopping in Galveston. Decent place to stop, not much around for food options, at least walking distance. The staff seemed to need more training as they didn’t spear to have much knowledge on the rooms, etc. We wanted to wash clothes and there wasn’t any laundry soap at the from desk, the guy working told me it was automatic in the washer. No, no it’s not. It was a decent place for what we paid. We chose them because they accepted our dogs and got a good nights sleep!

Check in was awesome. Desk Clerk was great. Room carpet seemed damp, there were soft spots in the floors, beds were lumpy and soft, and breakfast was absolutely 💯 terrible! The hotel has SO much potential, but upgrades are definitely needed.

I had an awful experience with La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Texas City I 45, and I strongly warn others to stay far away. This was my first time using this hotel and I only did it because it was last minute and I needed something quick as I was unable to drive 4 hours back to my home. I made a reservation through Hotels.com for Saturday, April 25–Sunday, April 26, 2026 (one night).
