I recently stayed at La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham San Luis Obispo Downtown, and while the experience had its highlights, there were also some disappointments. The location is excellent—close to downtown and perfect for exploring the area. The standout feature is the rooftop hot tub and pool, which are fantastic for relaxing and offer great views. Nice size rooms at affordable rates. Bathroom door did not close. Attention brought to the front desk, but not fixed during our stay. Plenary of garage parking. Mattress way too soft. There is house keeping. There are also electric vehicle ChargePoint chargers. However, the “EV parking only” is not enforced by the check-in desk person/hotel. Perfect location to visit your CalPoly kid! Nice breakfast that saves time and money. New hotel, clean, sleek. Bed super comfy, room clean. Would stay again.
