We stayed at La Quinta last summer because we’ve stayed there before and wanted to bring our dogs since they are pet friendly and we’ve stayed before with no issue. This last time we arrived to a dirty floor dead battery’s in the remote and ants crawling up the wall from the trash can next to the bed. We called the front desk about changing rooms but they were full and they said they didn’t have batteries and they offered us to come down and get a can of raid to kill the ants ourselves. The sheets on both beds were dirty, one had hair and the other bodily fluid/oil stains. There were no glasses or dish cloths. Unidentified soap dispenser in shower. Shampoo or body wash? The floor was also dirty.
I just want to mention that the hotel manager, Ms. Ashley, is a very smart professional, and has great customer service skills. I have been coming to this hotel for years, but last week it was first time when I interacted with her directly and she offered clear communication and great assistance. I also like the restaurant the first floor, Ocean 13, and in particular the lead barman, Jonathan, also a professional, very talented with a lot of common sense. He makes the best cocktails, no one does as good a Negroni!
