I am writing regarding my recent reservation at La Quintana, 6501 Henneman Way, McKinney, TX 75070, for the dates of Friday, August 15 through Sunday, August 17. Upon arrival to our assigned room, we were very disappointed to find it in unacceptable condition. The room was filthy, dusty, and poorly maintained, and it also had a very strong Humid, unpleasant odor making it uncomfortable to stay. When we arrived, our room wasn’t even ready—we had to wait nearly two hours before checking in. While waiting, we noticed the lobby furniture was filthy and extremely worn out, which was our first red flag. When we finally got to our room (after the full two-hour wait), the hallways had a foul smell, likely from carpets that hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned. Many issues at this location. I was there for 3 nights, I was told there are no lifeguards so I couldn't use the pool. (Other guests just went and used the pool and was not told to leave). Hot water was out for half a day. The ice machine didn't have a scoop all days I was there, they provided and 12" bowl which could scoop up the ice but couldn't pour it out into the plastic bags provided, so folks had to use there hands I presume, probably contaminating all the ice!?
