We booked La Quinta Inn & Suites Magnolia, TX through Hotels.com for our company crew. Our superintendent arrived early to place a company card for incidentals and clearly told the front desk our workers were on night shift and would check in Tuesday morning. Despite that, the reservation was canceled without notice. The associate “Riley” was dismissive, citing a 2:00 a.m. cancel policy—even though we had documented late arrival. Room in bad condition. For these rates I expected a lot better quality. At checkout they refused to give me a receipt for the stay, seemed shady to me. I always get receipts at checkout at every other hotel I've stayed at, even when booking through third parties.
