The front desk guy was the most disrespectful person I have ever dealt with. I have stayed at this hotel several times and never have I had such a terrible experience. I was met with rudeness immediately upon check in. My room was advertised as having 2 queen beds and I was met with 2 full size. Positive: The hotel is walking distance to the beach. Exterior looks great; the lobby is vibrant and welcoming. I requested a top floor room due to some previous reviews that I read that the hotel was flooded and had a smell and presence of mildew/mold. They also granted 11:30 late checkout from 12:30 PM’s originalrequest (we left at 11 anyway). The breakfast is ok, the typical hot, cold, healthy options are available, nothing out of the ordinary. This place flooded in Harvey. There’s mold in the hotel you can smell it all over the damp mildew scent is all over and overwhelming. Only decent thing about this hotel is the location but it’s overpriced for all it lacks. Food bare minimum tiny limited menu. Rooms barely cleaned since they only do it every 3 days but leftover trash from previous guests were in our room that I cleaned up thankfully we had disinfectant wipes.

It should really be called "La Quinta by 63rd st." Rather than the seawall. False advertising at its best. Perimeter doors on 1st fl has damaged electrical handles. Do not get a room looking towards the east of the island, you will see rundown apartments for a lovely view. To connect to the cat5 ports in the wall, you must enter a "phrase" to use their services, very annoying. Overall, it's a good hotel in standards, they just have a lot of stuff to work on.
