Experiencing racial discrimination in the workplace is incredibly disheartening. During my time at La Quinta North, I faced an incident that highlighted the subtle yet pervasive nature of such biases. The owner Hari’s comment, directed through the manager, about needing to "brush my hair" felt particularly pointed. The room was dirty and in disrepair. The room smelled musty. Leak from above had stained curtains and there was possible mold. Toilet had been cracked and just caulked in. Toilet also flushed itself all night long. Front desk associate was kind and friendly at check in. The hotel is close to retail and restaurants so that is a positive if you can get past the room dirtiness.
We had a very nice stay was clean and smells clean everyone was so welcoming they greeted you every time you were coming and going…
I really appreciate how nice the staff was. It truly makes a huge impact on my stay. The room was nice big and clean. Complimentary breakfast was good. Complementary coffee and water is a huge plus. No complaints at all
