On arrival I was told the elevator was not working. No attempt was made to notify me prior to arrival. I have a lot of difficulty climbing stairs. In the past, other hotels have notified me of this issue to give me options. This LQ told me they don’t do this. I was not given any other options. No assistance with my bags was offered. I had to pull myself and bags up 29 steps. Upon interest to my room, there was a cigarette smell. It faded after turning up the air. The room was clean and the mattress was comfortable.

The AC in the room sounded like an old truck idling, very noisy, the room smelled of mildew, very musty odor throughout, the sheets on the bed were stiff and scratchy. The eggs for breakfast were not the worst, but that's comparing them to the usual watery unseasoned eggs at the previous la quinta I stayed in, these at least had salt and pepper in them.
