I love this place. When I signed up for La Plata Manor I also signed up for more than a dozen other similar facilities, most of them are in Virginia. I lived there three years out of necessity. The residents are rough... they mind your business, tattle tale if you breach the slightest picky rule, the place insults any dignity you might have acquired during your more active years. Sharon is nice, the maintenance man and cleaning lady are very nice.... but whenever so many needy and infirm people are that close in proximity, it kind of spawns an unhealthy environment where it is almost impossible to thrive and find joy in life. Nice clean and well ketp and management is awesome
I went into this place for a possible pharmacy client. I went to introduce myself and let them know who I was. Out of habit, I play with my lanyard. I spin it. I spin poi for fun. It just became a habit. The receptionist yelled at me saying she felt threatened and nervous and started approaching me slowly and tried to grab my arm. Told her not to touch me and proceeded to walk out. The reception is rude and beligerent. I refuse to go to this place.
