Large portion sandwiches. Nice bread, but heavy on the grease. With it’s name, I kind of expected a higher attention to quality, but was disappointed in the curation of ingredients: the prosciutto was bland, with gristle in many bites; the ham in another sandwich was salty and unremarkable. When asked for a glass of water, the order taker said, WITH A STRAIGHT FACE, “We don’t have water at this time, just bottled water.” Not sure how they wash their utensils. A simple shop with simply one of the best if not THE BEST sandwich in the Midwest! I travel for work and have eaten Italian sandwiches all over the US. La Pecora Nera is a true contender for the best!
