Avoid this office! This "Happy Smiles" office "provided" me with a deep cleaning for $2,476.00 (!), in full knowledge that their deep cleaning procedures were not covered by any dental insurance. The office never disclosed to me how expensive was their version of deep cleaning. The office manager did not contact my insurance company or advised me to contact them myself to find out whether they are covering $2,476 "deep" cleaning or not. The most wonderful staff. I’ve had a lot of previous dental work and had bad experiences. Smiles of La Jolla is the master of dentistry/oral surgery and admin. I’ve had multiple root canals, crowns, pulls with bone graphs. They called and txt me on their off days just to check in on how I was feeling. They genuinely care. I was traveling in San Diego and I had a horrible tooth issue from my surgery done in Europe. I contacted the first office that responded to me and went there. I was amazed with their professionalism and how quickly they diagnosed and treated me. Thank you Dr. Ghaffari for being just amazing. I've had never expected this type of service in US. I'm coming back to hopefully settle in beautiful San Diego area and you will have a life long patient in me.
AVOID this place.. a salesman running a dentist office. There are reasons why they have bad reviews. I used them because I used to have HMO insurance but will never go back here.
AVOID - do not go here. They quoted me 14,000$ for teeth cleaning and a root canal that a second (more qualified) dentists told me I DID NOT NEED…. Just don’t go to these thieves. Go anywhere else.
