This restaurant name means 'little Indian girl' in Spanish and it is affectionately named after chef Maria Garcia, a Tarascas native American from the Mexican state of Michoacan. Worst in Southern Arizona – If you like gristle in your beef, cold rice, water-thin salsa, poor service and dirty floors, this place is for you. You can do better anywhere.
The best place to take a tourist. – La Indita is the best Mexican Restaurant in town. Instead of guests to the typical run of the mill Mexican restaurants that run amock in Tucson, I like to take them here. The menu is vast and has many options that include local recipies and foods. Great place for meat eaters and vegetarians. Everybody's happy!!!!
Ask to sit on the patio... – ...except perhaps in June. The place is a worn around the edges on the inside, but very pleasant outside. I had the chicken mole, which I think was a special and not a regular part of the menu, but that was THE best mole I've ever had.
