I have been to Hacienda restaurants in Cedar Rapids and other cities and towns but the food at the Monticello location was so much better than any Hacienda or actually any Mexican restaurants I have been to. Out of our 4 days of camping at Jellystone park we ate there twice. I highly recommend the chicken, steak and shrimp fajitas ( I think it’s called Fajita mix) on the menu. And it went well with a sangria margarita Service was good and food was Amazing!!!
The food was good! We were pleasantly surprised to find a decent Mexican food restaurant this far north (we are from TX...) My only issue came from when we first arrived. I think we walked in the wrong door which was our fault. But then we asked the man at the register if we just sit down or what and he just wordlessly waves us in the general direction of some tables, but wasn't terribly specific and was clearly not going to get up off the stool to help us.
